Did I MisRead His Signals? HELP?

I thought this guy liked me, so to test the waters I emialed him to ask about the homework assignment. After that, I added %26quot;By the way, I don%26#039;t know if it was your cologne or just soap, but you smelled really good today.%26quot; Was that going too far, did I scare him? I was trying to hint that I liked his flirting, but he didn%26#039;t respond. He just told me the homework assignement!





Here is what happened before all of this:





There is this guy in one of my classes. Today, there was not a lot of room at the table, so when he sat by me he was pretty close. Our elbows and arms repeatedly touched and when I picked my notebook up for a few seconds, he stretched his arm across my side of the table. He also kept putting his leg close to mine and when our feet touched it was like he was massaging my foot with his shoe; it wasn%26#039;t subtle at all.

He likes you and he%26#039;s a little insecure about how to take the compliment.





Let him do most of the pursuing.
Reply:Maybe he thought you were trying to be mean with the remark. Maybe he thought you meant he smelled... I%26#039;m not sure but I don%26#039;t think you misread his signals.

Cause if you guys flirt then telling him he smelled good is a good move guys like hearing that from a girl they like cause that means that you wouldn%26#039;t mind being near him but if you guys just started flirting then you might of scared him a tiny bit. But the whole foot thing and stuff well I think that is flirting unless he does that with all the girls then prolly not

he might like u..did he say anything during class or look at u?if he ignored u except for the foot thing then he probably was just doing some innocent flirting.i hate that but some guys r just like that
Reply:he was def flirting..and about him not saying something about the cologne compliment..sometimes guys just don%26#039;t respond to things like that..i%26#039;ve had similar situations with guys myself

Reply:Nah, you%26#039;re ok... he just didn%26#039;t know what to say about you liking his cologne...it surprised him that you said something like that. So all he could do was act normal and keep helping you with math until he figures out where he actually wants things to go from here.
