How can I fix my week-long foot cramp?

I am an active 21-year old girl who works out two or three times a week. I have decent sneakers and wear a variety of other shoes with arches. I eat bananas often and drink tons of water.

However a week ago, I started experiencing stabbing pains in the bottom of my foot, on the arch towards the outside. I kept thinking that it would work itself out but the cramp hasn%26#039;t gone away. I%26#039;ve rested it, used a heat pack, tried to walk/run/massage/stretch it out and nothing has helped. I%26#039;ve looked for other advice online but most people can see the cramped muscle and I can%26#039;t - it%26#039;s pretty deep inside my foot. When I massage my foot, I can%26#039;t feel pain. I also don%26#039;t feel pain when I don%26#039;t have any weight on it or when I%26#039;m barefoot. It%26#039;s less painful in shoes with arches than in shoes without.

Has anyone experienced something like this? I%26#039;m concerned it%26#039;s lasted so long. Thanks in advance!

Well I%26#039;ve never experienced this, but are you sure it%26#039;s a cramp? I%26#039;ve never heard of a cramp lasting a week, but I%26#039;m no doctor so maybe it%26#039;s possible. I did some research and couldn%26#039;t find any other explanation except maybe a pinched nerve. If it is that, you might feel some burning like a cramp, but you should also feel some numbness in your foot like it%26#039;s falling asleep. Honestly I don%26#039;t know what it is, but if the pain gets too bad you should see a doctor.
